Tangled, Messy, Dry Weaving? Just four simple steps to bring it back to life!
2021-07-07

(1) Detangle--It will need some patience and dedication.Use a wide-toothed comb and a glass half full of water, an old weave can be recovered with heavy duty detangling.

Use a wide tooth comb instead of a paddle brush to prevent breakage, especially when wet.Always detangle from the end, then slowly work your way up to the root. When you come across a knot, untie it with your fingers and continue to detangle with your comb. Once your knitting has been properly detangled, you can proceed with the deep conditioning.

(2) Deep Condition-- It's an essential step in any hair procedure, meanwhile, it's it is one of the most crucial steps to restore a weave. Skip it at your own risk. Deep conditioning is just like mini facial for hair, why not let it have a regular spa day?

Deep conditioning can open the cuticle of your hair, allowing the product to penetrate deep into the hair and restore the softness of your braid. To rejuvenate, we recommend using moisture-based conditioners such as Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner or Aussie Mega Moist Conditioner. Soak the hair stands with the product, and then use a wide-tooth comb to evenly distribute the product throughout the hair.

(3) ACV Rinse--The main purpose of the ACV Rinse is to restore the proper pH balance of the hair. When pH is out of balance, your weave will quickly go from "hot damn" to "hot mess" in less than a minute. Virgin hair is very smooth when you first buy as the hair cuticle are completely sealed. But when you start using products, shampoos, and hot tools, the hair cuticle will slowly begin to peel away until it's no longer there. Since the pH balance of apple cider vinegar (3.5) is lower than your hair strands (~5), the rinse fluid will help reduce the overall pH balance of the braided fabric and help resealing the hair cuticle.

Are you ready to rinse? Mix 3 parts water and 1 part Apple Cider Vinegar in a large bowl and saturate your extension completely. Leave the rinse in for 45 minutes to 1 hour, then rinse off with water. Continue to deep conditioning hair.

(4) Bleach Bath--Taking a bleach bath on the weave is an effective way to refresh the weave, but we recommend doing this only if all other methods have failed. This step requires the use of chemicals, and no one has time for third-degree chemical burns. Find a pair of sturdy latex gloves and watch YouTube video to know how to do this on your hair.
